NIGHT PORTER (Hospitality Setting) Permanent About the Role As a Night Porter, you will: • Support the Night Supervisor and Night Manager with the safe, secure and smooth running of the Club throughout the night. • Carry out regular security and fire safety checks in line with Club procedures, remaining alert and attentive at all times. • Provide a warm, professional and discreet service to members and guests, responding to requests and supporting departments including Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Maintenance and Transport. • Take responsibility for the switchboard once the late Receptionist has finished, handling calls and enquiries efficiently and professionally. • Maintain the presentation and ambience of the establishment overnight, ensuring public areas, fireplaces, lighting and guest facilities are presented to high standards. • Complete routine checks of guest areas and external areas, . • Support the Transport team with the staff transport. • Complete general cleaning and tidying duties in staff and office areas as required. • Assist with overnight financial and administrative procedures, including reconciliations, POS reports and accounting spreadsheets, reporting any discrepancies to the relevant manager. • Communicate effectively with colleagues and managers, ensuring any guest, maintenance, housekeeping or operational issues are reported promptly. • Participate in training and support the development of new colleagues. • Undertake any other reasonable duties as required to support the smooth running of the establishment. About You You will bring: • A reliable and dependable approach, with the ability to work independently and remain alert and focused throughout the night. • A genuine commitment to guest service, with a warm, helpful and professional manner. • The ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, responding confidently to guest needs and unexpected situations. • Strong attention to detail, with pride in maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness, security and service. • A responsible and trustworthy nature, with discretion when dealing with guests and colleagues. • Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to work well with colleagues and managers. • A flexible and positive approach, with a willingness to support different departments and assist wherever needed. • Good numeracy and administrative skills, with confidence working with figures, systems and overnight financial procedures. • A willingness to learn and develop, taking an active approach to training and supporting colleagues. • A professional and polished manner, reflecting high standards.. • The flexibility and commitment to work a 7 nights on / 7 nights off shift pattern, including weekends and public holidays as required.
