Location: London Heathrow Shift Options: • 4 on / 4 off (Nights) - £ days holiday per year • Sunday – Thursday, 4pm–2am £ holidays per year Goldstar is a leading transport and logistics company with a strong reputation for delivering reliable, high-quality services to our customers. We are now seeking a proactive and organised Night Transport Controller to join our busy night operations team. About the Role As a Transport Controller, you’ll play a key part in managing our nightly transport operation. You will allocate work to drivers, plan loads, respond to live operational issues, and maintain accurate records to support compliance and invoicing. You will also be the key point of contact between drivers, customers, and internal departments during your shift. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong planning ability and confidence in making decisions under pressure. Key Responsibilities • Complete handovers to/from day shift to ensure smooth continuity • Organise and allocate nightly work for drivers • Maintain regular communication with drivers to monitor progress and resolve issues • Handle incoming and outgoing calls relating to transport activity • Plan driver routes and pre-plan work for upcoming shifts • Liaise with warehouse teams regarding load plans and driver movements • Maintain accurate operational logs, including bond logs and seal logs • Ensure all documentation is fully completed, signed, and compliant • Be a first point of contact for driver queries and support needs • Act as a liaison between customers, warehouse teams and operations • Keep the transport system updated for audit, invoicing and compliance • Carry out general administrative duties • Download driver tachograph cards as required • Support reputation and service levels by delivering excellent communication What We’re Looking For • Experience in transport, logistics or a busy operations role (desired) • Strong administrative and organisational skills • Confident communicator with a professional approach • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a reactive environment • Calm under pressure and confident in decision-making • Knowledge of WTD and Drivers’ Hours (advantageous) • IT-literate with good record-keeping accuracy • Reliable, committed and able to work night shifts What We Offer • A choice of night shift patterns to suit your lifestyle • Training and support from an experienced transport leadership team • Opportunities for career progression within a growing business • Friendly, supportive working environment • On-site parking • Competitive salary package How to Apply If you’re an organised, proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced transport environment, we want to hear from you.
